Our Muse Yogi Holly Rice - Part II

Favorite Yoga Pose:
I have so many! But, here are three that come to mind.
1. I love tree pose or vriksasana (Sanskrit). This is a balance pose and I love balance poses because they challenge your ego when you fall out of them. It is so important to keep that ego in check!
2. Wheel pose (Urdhva Dhanurasana) - this is a back bend and heart chakra opener. We walk around, heads buried in our lovely little communication devices, that we are closing ourselves off to the rest of the world. This pose counters that and opens us up to the world again. This kind of heart chakra opening allows us to open to receiving love. And love is the best thing!

3. Pigeon pose (Eka Pada Rajakapotasana) - this is a hip opener. We tend to carry a lot of emotional baggage in our hips, particularly women. If we don't release that emotional weight, it builds, gets stuck, and creates toxins in our bodies. This is a great pose for releasing all of that. The more connected we become with our physical and emotional selves, the better we get at kicking ass in life!

Fervent Wish
World peace. That was my beauty pageant answer, ha ha! I really do wish there was more of that peace, even though I was initially kidding! My fervent wish goes back to my passion for being our best selves. Modern medicine is wonderful but we really do need to act upon a proactive/preventative approach with our health.

NB Favorite:
EVERYTHING! Every time I wear a NeoBantu piece, multiple people stop and compliment me. My confidence level skyrockets anytime I slip into an article of NB clothing. :-) I love the vibrant colors and the stories behind the fabrics. I always feel like I'm channeling an edgy Audrey Hepburn when I wear my NB clothing.
